Lee was born in Wamego, Kansas, and lived in the Manhattan/Wamego area for about twenty-five years. He is the oldest of nine children, with four brothers and four sisters. Growing up, he enjoyed playing the alto saxophone in the middle school band, competing in track and cross country, and earning his Eagle Scout award in the Boy Scouts of America.
He graduated from Kansas State University in Manhattan with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s in Regional and Community Planning. He graduated from Washburn University Law School in Topeka. He is a member of the Wichita Bar Association and the Kansas Bar Association.
He has worked as a cashier, janitor, painter, garbage man, lawn mower, screen printer, telemarketer, newspaper boy, inventory counter, gas station attendant, horse barn hand, restaurant waiter, graduate teaching assistant, leasing agent, property manager, real estate agent, title insurance examiner and closing agent, real estate attorney, prosecutor, civil litigator, and estate planning attorney. Because of his diverse work history, he enjoys meeting people from all walks of life and hearing their stories. He also understands the value of hard work and enjoys helping people preserve their wealth and legacy for the benefit of the next generation.
Lee, his wife Megan, and their three children live and attend church in Northwest Wichita. Megan grew up in Maize and is happy to return home. In his free time, Lee enjoys spending time with his family (including homeschooling the kids), reading, and running.
